GENERALI: From Research to Spaces design
Milan, Italy | San Francisco, CA | 2016–2020
Collaborating with a team of service designers I built, we conducted user research on wearables and developed products with strategic impact, earning multiple awards.
Digital Health: Services, Devices and Spaces Design
My digital health awakening came during my time as Global UX Director at Razorfish Healthware (2011-2013). Since then, designing technologies that truly care for people has remained central to my work. As a TED MED LIVE speaker, I’ve collaborated with SARA and VITTORIA Assicurazioni. From 2015, I spent over three years with Generali (a Top 10 global insurer), driving research, conceptualizing IoT home devices, and designing an entire floor of Italy’s tallest skyscraper. I also led the team behind award-winning consumer health devices.
Pioneering the Internet of Things
Growing up as a digital designer in an environment focused on industrial design and physical products, the Internet of Things was a revelation. The idea of embedding a digital soul into physical objects transformed my professional path, steering it toward B2B, industrial, and deep tech solutions. This journey has paved the way to innovations in Physical AI.
Robots to save human lifes
Between my early fascination with IoT-connected devices like Nabaztag and my ill-fated encounters with JIBO, I had the opportunity to contribute to the race to create a robot to combat COVID-19 and to support a groundbreaking robotic venture poised to revolutionize precision medicine. One didn’t survive the journey, but both robots were designed with a single purpose: to save lives.
A Robot to fight Covid-19
San Francisco, CA | 2020
Hospitality was among the hardest-hit sectors during the first year of the pandemic. We developed a solution to address these unprecedented challenges.
Robots Making Precision Medicines
San Francisco, CA | 2022
Developed advanced robotic systems for pharma manufacturing, setting a new standard in the life sciences industry. These life-saving technologies ensure next-gen precision medicines reach patients efficiently and at scale.
Spatial, AR/VR, Eye-Tracking, Metaverses
In Human-Computer Interaction, the complexity lies entirely on the human side. Eye-tracking reveals insights into vision, attention, cognitive load, and more. I led the team that patented an assistive eye-tracking system for ALS patients. My passion for Augmented Reality began during my Interaction Design studies, where I earned a spot in the Apple Design Project and flourished with most recent Physical AI and Spatial Computing gears.
Making Spatial in 2025
San Francisco & Milan | 2024 - 2025
My journey from my student years to the Vision Pro announcement led to creating 3 Spheres, my vision for an interaction model that blends spatial computing and intuitive design. Together with my teams at MMN and PAARM, we’ve explored and implemented applications that push the boundaries of user experience in industrial and consumer environments.
Among the wildest videos I’ve ever created—where serious immersive UX research meets a touch of Halloween fun.
Industrial Augmented Reality

As President, shareholder, and later advisor for Joinpad.net, a European augmented reality firm, I collaborated with the team to develop remote assistant software tailored for the industrial sector.
Eye Tracking (patents)
Milan, Italy | 2003–2005
I had the opportunity to work with Tobii Eye-Trackers the same month they were created. Collaborating with the SRLABS team, we patented fundamental interaction techniques, such as point-and-click, and developed tools for healthcare, marketing, and mobile entertainment.
Metaverses & Mixed Reality (before it was cool)
Milan, Italy | Since 2006
Amid the SecondLife hype, I deeply explored the potential business applications of virtual worlds. I experimented with governance models for remote teams and organized a series of mixed reality events.
Pre-Cloud Computing Era. Visionary IoT Products
