Everything, Everywhere,
All at Once

No one can do everything, let alone all at once. For 20 years, I’ve followed a consistent approach: research, invention through design, prototyping, and product validation—always focused on emerging technologies. First, it was mobile phones, then IoT, AR/VR, eye-tracking, early intelligent agents, deviceless immersive experiences, and physical AI. Because Star Trek is inevitable, and humanity will build it.

Being in the right place at the right time:

  • I led the design of the first UI for a 3G (smart) phone ever;

  • I led the small team that patented an eye-gaze user interface to control a computer (via a contactless eye-tracker);

  • I contributed to a patents about small display video optimization, and video synchronization.

  • I influenced the physical design of the first fog node, aiming to re-invent industrial edge computing.

  • I rebooted the adventurous times crossing AR/VR borders through the NTT immersive technologies.

In the last few years, the team and the products have become what mattered to me. I am super proud of our achievements, including the most recent COMPASSO D’ORO (won by DGI 30 years after their last one) and the Good Design Awards with MultiplyLabs (2023)

Over the past 20 years, I’ve held various roles as Executive Design Director or Head of Innovation, delivering projects and initiatives for companies such as Warner Bros, PepsiCo, Enel, Janssen, Menarini, H3G, Logotel, Dotsub, SrLabs, CartaSI, Gucci, Unicredit, J&J, Generali, and many other exceptional organizations. Some of these served as hubs for particularly advanced projects or initiatives that were visionary for their time.
