Welcome to Budapest Jungle (PREZI)

>> STORIA ORIGINALE DAL BLOG DI FRONTIERS

This is the Story of Maria, IxD Designer that found her dream job at #foi11, and now she works as designer in PREZI. It was Adam Somlai Fischer in person to talk to us about her, and now we are sharing the story with all you.

Few questions and a long video interview. Have fun.

Frontiers 2011 - Day 2

1. how did you hear about Frontiers of Interaction Conference and WHY you decide to join.
I heard about Frontiers of Interaction at Domus Academy. In that period I was making my thesis project about Healthcare, among other classmates. Going to FOI was part of collecting some fresh knowledge and making some contacts with people involved in the Healthcare Industry. So I decided to join, because I was very interested in participating in the E-Health workshop and to hear the speeches.

2. what company/speaker you already knew before listening to them at Frontiers
I knew some companies like Prezi, Evernote, Frog Design and some speakers like Arna Ionescu from Proteus Biomedical or Fabio Sergio and Thomas Sutton from Frog Design. The one speaker who has been a true discovery for me, is Amber Case, who spoke about the Cyborg Anthropology and the Evaporation of the Interface.

3. how easy was it to meet people and speakers at frontiers
It was very fluent, people were very open to speak with anyone, I can dare to say that everyone was looking forward to make some good connections.

4. will you be part of next frontiers 2012? what do you expect from the next year event?
I will try to be part of the next Frontiers, as for me it has been a good opportunity to meet great people, to hear interesting lectures and to debate during the workshops. I will expect more women as attendants, more brain oxygenation with motivating topics and brilliant speakers who will give an immersive knowledge experience.

(more…)

Is That Just Some Game? No, It’s a Cultural Artifact

We discover fascinating futures to be explored in ignoring and crossing disciplinary borders.”

- Artificial Eyes.
Investigating the relationship between natural science and art in the early modern period through reconstructing observational instruments and the skills required to use them

- How They Got Game.
The History and Culture of Interactive Simulations and Video Games
